This anniversary program invites you to celebrate a milestone birthday à la Paul Hindemith: with music that is unusual and rich, playful and provocative, from the days of maturity as well as those of the Junge Wilde - in any case by Hindemith. Throughout his life, the pioneer of modernism from Hanau turned against the cult of genius and the confessional nature of Romanticism in favor of a "new objectivity", which included parodistic features, quotations and playing with popular genres. Four sonatas for viola, oboe and cello - with, without or alone for piano - as well as an unconventional serenade can be heard from Hindemith's rich oeuvre. Music for the chamber at its best!
