Hardcore legends Refused go on a farewell tour. After six years, Refused are waking up from hibernation. They shaped political hardcore like few other bands, not least with their epochal masterpiece "The Shape of Punk to Come". In June and October, the Swedes will be shaking up German venues one last time.

Emerging from the Swedish hardcore scene, Refused broke with the usual conventions of the genre with their third LP release "The Shape of Punk to Come" in 1998 and thus secured their place in the music world. Since their formation in Umeå in 1992, Dennis Lyxzén, David Sandström and their changing comrades-in-arms have stood for musical radicalism and visionary stubbornness. Refused were never just a band, but a statement and after a turbulent band history including a break-up and later reunion (2012), their influence reaches far beyond hardcore and bands such as Idles cite them as trailblazers.
