Wolfram Koch reads Daniil Charms - Reading at the Romanfabrik - 2for1-Tickets
"I'm only interested in nonsense, only in things that have no practical meaning. I am only interested in life in its nonsensical appearance," said Daniil Kharms. Daniil Kharms, actually Ivanovich Yuvachev, born on December 30, 1905, was a Russian writer and poet. Throughout his life, he was afraid of being picked up by Stalin's secret police. He was imprisoned several times and eventually starved to death in a prison psychiatric ward during the Leningrad blockade.
The actor Wolfram Koch dedicates this evening to the extraordinary Daniil Charms and reads mainly from his collection of texts Zwischenfälle (Volk und Welt) as well as poems, stories, very short stories, anecdotes and dramalettes by him.
