The park-like recreational area of the monastery town of Lorsch becomes a large picnic meadow full of music, magic and enjoyment. The Birkengarten Festival attracts visitors with first-class live music, magical illumination, a creative children's program and a culinary offering from regional food trucks - all with free admission. The festival cup worth €5 for drinks is a cultural contribution that helps to finance the event. If you want a drink, you pay a one-off €5 for the cup, drinks are extra.

Whether singer-songwriters, bands or local cult acts - a varied stage program awaits music fans of all generations every day. In the evening, lanterns, lights and a glowing fountain transform the grounds into an atmospheric sea of lights.

Particularly sustainable: the electricity for the stage and lighting is generated by a specially installed solar park. Dogs are allowed on a lead. A feast for the senses, the family and the environment - in the middle of the countryside.
