The artists in the "Flamenco sin fronteras" series have been performing successfully on national and international stages for years and convey the entire range of emotions: from the immediate joy of life to sadness, loneliness, pain and love - just like life itself. Their love is for traditional flamenco, but their creations are also characterized by modern influences.

Canadian-born, Berlin-based flamenco dancer Fiona Malena enchants the stage with "verve, theatricality and captivating magnetism" (El Eco de la Memoria). Fiona likes to improvise with jazz and world music artists in order to constantly expand her creative possibilities. She recently performed with the project "My Spanish Heart" under the direction of guitarist Nikos Tsiachris at the B-flat Club in Berlin.

Trained in Spain, she lived in Seville for over ten years before moving to Germany. During her time in Spain, she performed regularly and toured in countries such as Ecuador, Mexico, Israel, Canada and the UK. Fiona conceived projects for the stage such as La Cueva (Turkey) and Arbolé (a collaboration with dancer Karen Lugo), and she has shared the stage with many prestigious artists over the years such as José Anillo, Pedro Sierra, el Torombo and el Niño de Elche.
